Born and raised in the Victorian Alps, Lyn has always been accustomed to surroundings of grandeur; she discovered her love of painting early in life gaining credits for art during her school days.Lyn
joined a professional art group where she says "I learnt to improve my technique" and having no formal training " found the long road of self experimentation and reading what nature supplies, the best tools to
produce a satisfying work"
Over the years Lyn has migrated slowly north with a move to Brisbane, Queensland, then north to Townsville and now to the staggering vistas from the Cardwell Range , just south of
Cardwell in tropical north Queensland. The tropics have introduced the colours of the reef, rainforest and an astounding variety of bird and wildlife. A lover of nature and with the now, infinite, spectra of
never-ending subjects now available; it was only natural for Lyn to take up her brushes again.
Winning a number of "Firsts" in art competitions over the years, Lyn has exhibited with fellow artists and held solo exhibitions.
Lyn now works from her lofty studio on the crest of the Cardwell
Range looking out upon the stunning Hinchinbrook channel and magnificent mountains of Hinchinbrook Island and the Coral Sea, her works reflect this inspirational landscape
Lyn's works are hung around Australia and in Europe
