by which Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc confirms receipt of the works listed in the Gallery Stock Book (Worklist Sheets) and by which the Artist and Hinchinbrook Regional Art agree to the following terms:-1. PERIOD OF DISPLAY
- After a three months period or at the discretion of the selection committee, display may be reviewed and the artist may be asked to replace his/her original pieces with new work. The original pieces may if space [subject to space] be stored in the Gallery or removed, this is at the artist's discretion.
2. SELLING PRICE
- The Artist shall offer each work for sale at the agreed price stated in the Gallery Stock book. Gallery Fees will be deducted and the remainder paid to the artist monthly by cheque or direct debit.
3. WORKLIST & LABELLING
- On delivery to Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc the artist will complete a Worklist Sheet showing:- Name, Address, Telephone Number, Indent No. of each piece of work, Title of Work, Medium, Gallery Fee rate and selling price (inclusive of gallery fee.) The artist will also identify all work with a tag or label showing initials, work number and price e.g. Donald Duck's work will be identified as DD1 $55, DD2 $160etc. The artist should also keep a copy of their worklist for their records. Worklists are to be kept updated and current. New works should be entered as they come into the Gallery, and works sold or removed by the artist should be crossed out and the date of exit or removal entered.
4. TRANSPORT
- The artist shall arrange and pay for delivery of works to the Gallery. Transport of the works sold will be at the customer's expense. Specialist packaging, if required, is the artist's responsibility. Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc will assist with basic packaging at it's discretion.
5. DISPLAY - the display of the work within the Gallery will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee which will be elected by the members of the association annually.
6. ARTIST'S Profile
- Artists are asked to provide an artist's profile giving contact details, a brief account of their background, the subjects used, techniques and mediums used etc. These will be presented in the Gallery format and displayed with the artist's work and available to the public on request.
7. DAMAGE THEFT OR LOSS
- It is agreed that Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc is unable to and does not provide insurance cover for works dispayed. All due and reasonable care will be taken in the handling and security of works on display and Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc will notify members as soon as possible as to any damage, theft or loss of their works. Further the artist accepts that any damage, theft or loss occasioned to works on display are losses at the artist's own risk, for which Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc is not to be held responsible.
8. COPYRIGHT
- Copyright in the works remains the property of the artist and such rights shall not be sold, or otherwise dealt with by Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc without the written authorization of the artist.
9. MEMBERSHIP FEES are due on the 1st December annually. Artists must be financial members to qualify to exhibit.
10. GALLERY FEES
- The Gallery Fee payable [on sale price ]are:-(a) 25% for members undertaking HRA volunteer activities (b) 33.33% for members not undertaking HRA volunteer activities
11. TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT
:- This agreement may be terminated upon failure of the artist to comply with the membership rules of Hinchinbrook Regional Art Inc as agreed to in the past and in the future by a quorum of members at a general
meeting. At such a termination of the agreement the artist will take possession of all his/her works.
