September 2016 issue of Australian geographic includes stories about our region.....

Really great to get feed back about a community signage project that our artists and members contributed to

signage on the Cardwell Foreshore boardwalk and throughout the local area was part of a joint project between many community organisations in Cardwell following TC Yasi. Members of our tourism, history, art and wildlife groups worked together to tell the story of our town and area.  It is great to see these signs being used as a resource for our students as well as something to tell locals and visitors about our wonderful home in the tropics....

Image below artist Judy Netterfield with her turtle foot path design - Daryl & Judy designed many of the artworks that have been sandblasted into the Cardwell Foreshore footpath with designs for the historic images supplied by the Cardwell & District Historical Society &  indigenous designs from Girringun and Girrimay  traditional owners
