Jessica Roelofs work explores emotional and psychological human experiences with a visual language inspired by childhood stories, surrealism, classical painting and her own experiences. Her work describes personal narratives to prompt the audience to reflect on one’s own journey of thought, memory and emotional experience.

Together with two other artists Jessica has recently held a very successful exhibition at the Tableland Regional Gallery. As a very active and enthusiastic member of Hinchinbrook Regional Arts Association, and currently President of the organisation, she has kindly agreed to display her work in Cardwell as part of the program set up through the Cardwell Gallery. Each month an established or emerging artist has the opportunity to use the Library Foyer to promote and /or introduce their art to a broader community.

Although Jessica completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries degree at JCU in Cairns last year she is continuing her studies in Business Management to hopefully improve her chances of establishing a sustainable career in the Art world

The exhibition will continue until April 7th.
