It's 5 years after the Mission Beach Community Arts Association  celebrated the opening of Mission Arts new building with a huge party.  At the time, Mission Beach was recovering from the devastation of Cyclone Yasi, and the completion of a great new community centre was greeted with much joy.

Since then, hundreds of artists have contributed to solo and group exhibitions, we have held workshops in many art forms, and thousands have attended our exhibition openings, and enjoyed our gallery shop. As well as the visual arts, we have enjoyed history, music, film, writing, and have hosted IT workshops and many community meetings and courses.

A feature each year is the Anniversary exhibition, when we invite Cassowary Coast artists, and Mission Arts members to compete for prizes for 2d, 3d and youth art.

Mission Beach Community Bank(R) Branch Bendigo Bank is and has been the major sponsor of the event each year and this partnership ensures our Annual Exhibition is a major event on our calendar.

The opening will be on Friday August 26th, at 6pm Tickets are $15, and include a free drink on arrival, finger food, and entertainment by Willy and the Poor Boy.

Tickets are available at Bendigo Bank at Wongaling Beach, at Ibu and Bean at North Mission, and at Mission Arts, which is open 10am- 2pm daily.
