Cardwell Gallery - 20 YEARS

                                                                EXHIBITION AND HISTORICAL DISPLAY

Hinchinbrook Regional Art was formed in 2001 by a group of enthusiastic and committed residents to allow established and emerging artists to further develop their skills, to provide an outlet through the gallery for their finished works and to promote an understanding of the value of art both socially and economically, to the community. Some of those members have remained active members for the entire 20 years. This exhibition is to celebrate the continuous operation of the Association, to demonstrate how it has achieved its original goals, as well as having fun on the way, and to recognise those founding members still involved. The exhibition will be displayed in the Cardwell Library from July 2 - July 11 and the Historic display will be in the Library Foyer Gallery from July 2 – July 31. We are calling on artists who are residents of the Cassowary Coast and Ingham communities as well as all members of HRAA to submit works.

HRAA has been successful in receiving a Community Assistance grant from the Cassowary Coast Regional Council for the administration of the exhibition and a grant from the Bendigo Bank as well as sponsorship from local businesses and individuals for prize money.

The displayed works will be judged by Dr Barbara Cheshire -  Fine Artist / Illustrator / Art Educator
