Magic of Mission Beach comes to Cardwell

On display in the Cardwell Library Foyer

Following the very successful MAGIC of MISSION BEACH exhibition at Mission Arts, Cardwell Gallery is very pleased to present an abridged travelling version as part of our monthly Library Foyer exhibitions.  With limited exhibition space, regrettably we could not bring the entire display but think we have captured a truly representative version of the original.

The project comprised both a writing competition and an art exhibition with the artwork, short stories and poems published in a book "Magic of Mission Beach".  The book is on display along with little excerpts from on the book to whet your appetite.  The featured cover artwork, 'Tropic Wonderland' by Mission Beach artist Jennifer Payne is also on display.

We really do live in a unique environment here on the Cassowary Coast and the Gallery invites you to come and experience this insight into how people see and perceive life in the tropics and, specifically in this case, Mission Beach.  The exhibition will be in the Library Foyer until November 30^th.

This is the first of what we hope to be many collaborations with other artists and galleries in the region broadening our audiences and keeping both tourists and locals aware of the extraordinary talent which abounds.

All exhibits are available for sale including copies of the book.
